I told Chance there were riots in France after the radical left colluded with the Communist left to disenfranchise their voters. He thought the French were finally sticking up for themselves. "Not the ones rioting," I said.
Chance still believes we can vote our way out of this. Sometimes I find myself bored with the back and forth, Democrat and Republican, because I don’t think Republicans are a meaningful opposition to the party that channels demons.
Because I’m considered too negative at home, I tried to be a little enthusiastic about the polling results in France. Le Pen is gaining so much ground, good, good… I warned that when Macron called a snap election it was indeed a gamble, but he would have a plan. I was right.
I hate how often I’m right.
