You might wonder what Harari is doing when he warns of the dangers of AI. It should be noted that he’s doing it coincidentally at the same time as two other big names in transhumanism, who also coincidentally, wrote a paper with him last year about how AI can be controlled. His motives can be explained in a Tweet in his own words from this week:
AI is developing so quickly that any laws we create now will no longer apply in a few years. Instead, we need to create living #institutions that can respond to the challenges of #AI in real time.
Living institutions that he will be in charge of. I've read HOMO DEUS: Harari believes that AI entities will qualify for personhood, and as yet another person, need to be controlled. Specifically by him, his colleagues, and his CEO and political underlings. In his book, he outlines the arrival of an elite class that is transcending into their own gods, ruling over AI and a useless class of humans, even evading death through medical technology.
Schwab is the public face of the World Economic Forum but Harari is the designer. His books have sold 45 million copies in 65 languages. He has been endorsed by Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg and Barack Obama. He has 630K followers on Twitter and has now appeared on Colbert and The Daily Show promoting his children's books, further expanding his reach. While we may not find him charismatic, on any given day, multiple people send him Tweets thanking him for influencing their worldview.
Daniel 11:37:
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers
->Harari is an Israeli atheist
Nor the desire of women
->Harari is a homosexual
Nor will he regard any god
-> Harari believes all religions are fictional stories
Nor regard any god for he shall magnify himself above all
->Harari believes he is leading an elite class who can become their own gods, HOMO DEUS chapter one
I've been wondering, when people like Bill Gates or Elon Musk come up as options for the antichrist, why I haven't heard the name Yuval Noah Harari in that mix? The argument "no one has heard of him" doesn't fly--many of the people who matter have for years, and many more people are rapidly hearing about him now.
It’s also curious that posting this strip on X attracted bots, as did posting this comic on our website—more spam comments than I’ve ever received before.
