Gratifying as this was to watch, you know it was that sweet Burning Man money that really broke it up. The cops let these guys disrupt the lives of regular people, even if they need to get to the hospital, but get in the way of the tech bro playground in the desert? Tackle.
We went back and forth on how to say that the tribal cops were harder on these climate protestors than typical cops because the event makes money versus taking bribes directly to tackle the protestors, but my argument to Chance was at the end of the day, what’s the difference? It doesn’t mean I’m sympathetic to climate protestors, just cynical enough to understand we don’t matter, the jet set matters.
Pod Life
THIS IS THE WEEK! This is the week we release our first subscriber-only content, Pod Life. As one of our early, much-appreciated subscribers, here is a preview of the new comic:

Pod Life is a longer form, Sunday-strip style weekly comic that will tell a historical account of authoritarian failures with a humorous bent. We’re starting with Jamestown, America’s first socialist experiment. It failed, swiftly.
Future storylines I’m toying with include the founding of ANTIFA in Germany, the rise of Mao, the lead-in to Japan’s involvement in WWII and H.G. Wells’ excuses for Communist Russia. Anything goes. When there is a new post, I’ll be posting the first panel on social media but the full comic will be reserved as paid content.
